New Hampshire Youth Rugby (NHYR) is focused on bringing safe and fun rugby to the youth of New Hampshire. NHYR's mission is to provide accessible and affordable rugby coaching and development. Centered on developing people, not just players, NHYR fosters a love of the game, improves decision making skills, increases communication, and develops camaraderie between teammates, opposition players, referees, coaches, and spectators. NHYR and USA Rugby encourage a balanced attitude where players can develop and grow from the mental, emotional, and physical aspects of rugby.
The purpose of the league is to give young girls & boys an opportunity to learn to play Rugby in a fun and local environment. Games will be played on Sunday mornings at 9 am in Dover. This season will start in May.
Our middle school contact program focuses on introducing tackle rugby through the game of 7’s Rugby. Our spring season runs from April - June, consisting of practice two days a week and mini 7’s tournaments on Saturday mornings. We also aim to provide additional opportunities for players to continue growing their rugby game throughout the summer including touch rugby and regional tournaments. We welcome all players regardless of experience level.
